Tiendas BBB (3B), Mexico's largest discount food chain, has strong growth potential, according to JPMorgan. 3B — short for "bueno, bonito y barato," or "good, nice and cheap" — is "good, nice and high growth with solid returns," according to analyst Joseph Giordano. Compared to other markets such as Colombia, Turkey and Germany in which hard discount stores have a penetration rate of 20% or higher, the rate stands at only 2% in Mexico, said Giordano. That means 3B — which is already among the largest discount food retailers in Mexico — has room to expand boost store productivity. Giordano forecasts 3B reaching a 5-year compound annual growth rate of 15%, setting it apart from its local competition.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — When the 2024 Grammy nominees were first announced, women dominated the major categories. And at Sunday's show, those nominations translated into awards: Every televised competitive Grammy went to at least one woman. SZA, who led nominations with nine, took home three awards — but was completely shut out of the general field categories.

US bans new oil and gas leasing around New Mexico cultural site

Tribes, conservationists and state officials have long called on the federal government to ban drilling in the area. Structures in the area date back thousands of years, and the park is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the United Nations' cultural agency. It is aligned with his goal to conserve at least 30% of federal lands and waters by 2030. But, the Interior Department ban on new leasing on federal lands around Chaco will last for just 20 years and does not extend to private, state or tribal lands. Oil and gas industry groups have opposed withdrawing the lands around Chaco for leasing.

LONDON, Feb 23 (Reuters) - British singer-songwriter Harry Styles added to his Grammy and BRIT Awards triumphs on Thursday when his chart-topping hit "As It Was" won the IFPI Global Single Award for 2022, the recorded music industry representative body said. The prize is given to the music artist scoring the world’s best-selling single of the year across all digital formats. Karol G, a global pop star from Colombia, said she wrote 60 songs, maybe more, for her new album, “Mañana Será Bonito” (“Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful”); eventually she winnowed them down to 17. Karol G, 32, wrote about feeling betrayed, about temptations and doubts, about partying away the pain, about no-strings sex with an ex. But eventually, she found herself writing wary love songs and counting her blessings. Just a few weeks before the album’s Feb. 24 release, she was wondering if she had been too candid. “I’m being really open with this album, and that gets me a little bit scared, because I’m not a perfect human,” she said from her office in her hometown, where she had just returned to meet her sister’s newborn.
